Dr. Dominick Giuffrida Jr., DO, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, has been a cornerstone of East Norriton Women’s Health Care, P.C. since its inception in 1997. After the retirement of Dr. Sansone in 2023, Dr. Parameshwaran joined forces with Dr. Giuffrida to carry forward the practice’s esteemed legacy.
With a focus on a wide range of women’s health issues, Dr. Giuffrida specializes in advanced pelvic reconstruction surgery, management of uterine, bladder, or rectal prolapses, menopausal care, abnormal pap smear management, polycystic ovarian disease, high and low-risk pregnancies, uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding, osteoporosis, endometriosis, as well as precancerous and cancerous conditions of the reproductive system.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Giuffrida is a trailblazer in Advanced Robotic Gynecologic Minimally Invasive Surgery, including pioneering No Scar Single Incision robotic surgeries. He spearheaded the gynecologic robotic program at Phoenixville Hospital and held the esteemed position of Director of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery. Additionally, he contributes his expertise to the Robotics Committee at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.
As a surgical proctor for Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the da Vinci robot, Dr. Giuffrida has trained numerous gynecologic surgeons in the region, with a wealth of experience surpassing 1000 successful robotic surgeries. His commitment to excellence in surgical innovation has earned him recognition as a leader in his field.
Dr. Giuffrida’s academic journey began at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed a research fellowship in pharmacology, graduating in 1990. Subsequently, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Suburban General Hospital, now known as Mercy Suburban Hospital, in 1995. He also served as the Ob/Gyn Residency Program Director for eight years.
Being board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Giuffrida holds the prestigious title of Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG). Moreover, he is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOOG).
