He sits on the Board of Trustees for Memorial Healthcare and has been appointed to the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons by the Governor Gretchen Whitmer. He also teaches at the MSUCOM since 2000. He is involved in community service at the Rescue mission feeding the homeless the first Wednesday of the month through Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
Dr. Bishop graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. He maintains a membership of the American Osteopathic Association and is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan. Dr. Bishop is also a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.
