Dr. Collins is a board-certified family physician who has been serving patients in the Greater Hartford area for the past 16 years at her private practice, Living Well Primary Care. Her mission is to provide excellent patient care through a focus on prevention and the promotion of health and wellness.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency training in family medicine at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, where she was also elected Chief Resident by her peers.

With an overall passion for promoting health and well-being, she is board-certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). The AOBFP is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body.

To boot, Dr. Collins is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine in order to focus on prevention and treatment of weight related diseases in her community. She also has an interest in functional medicine as a means to better serve her patients who deal with chronic conditions.

Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Association of Family Physicians She is also an active member of the Connecticut Board of Family Physicians since 2014, and the Greater Hartford Chapter of the Links, Inc. where she serves as Chair of the health and human services facet.

Active in academia, Dr. Collins is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of New England/UNECOM and at Quinnipiac University, where she provides teaching to medical students at her practice through their MesH program.
