Growing up in Lebanon, Dr. Maarouf earned her medical degree from the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine in 2000. Four years later, in 2004, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the American University of Beirut. She then relocated to the United States, completing another residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. During her training, she received several awards including best teacher, best surgeon, best resident, and best research. In 2009, she moved to Oklahoma with her husband.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
