With over four decades as a general dentist, Dr. Cote is the Owner of The Dental Office at River House in Arlington, Texas. He recognizes that skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional care, which is why he values each and every patient relationship.

The Dental Office at River House is oriented to achieve four primary goals: relieve discomfort or embarrassment, establish and maintain oral health, establish and maintain a stable and harmonious function, as well as create and maintain a pleasing and aesthetic smile. Part of the dental practice’s commitment to serving patients includes providing information that helps them to make more informed decisions about their oral health needs. 

Scholastically, Dr. Cote graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and completed his dental studies at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1979. Upon graduation, he began his career in the Navy Dental Corps which took him all over the world. 

Thereafter, Dr. Cote completed a one-year fellowship in general dentistry at the Naval Dental Center in San Diego, followed by a two-year comprehensive dentistry residency at the Naval PostGraduate Dental School in Bethesda. Serving as Assistant Director of the Fellowship Program and as Assistant Professor at the Naval Dental School, he retired in 2003 to establish a private practice.

Having pursued excellence through lifelong learning, Dr. Cote has achieved the status of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) and Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD). 

A firm believer in the value of organized dentistry and the ethical values espoused by professional organizations, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (sustaining member).

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries, create beautiful smiles, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

In the coming years, Dr. Cote is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement. He wants to emphasize his love for the profession and the pride he feels from having served his country.
