Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Bita A. Bagheri, who serves patients in Newport Beach, California.

Dr. Bagheri is a board-certified dermatologist practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology in Orange County, California. Her private practice is located in Newport Beach, California and she offers care in the areas of Irvine and Tustin.

A superbly qualified physician, she has years of experience in all aspects of dermatology, including medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Appreciating that dermatology allows physicians to have daily interaction with patients, both young and old, she sees patients for pre-cancer, skin cancer, acne, eczema, warts, rashes, nail problems, combining traditional and natural techniques into her practice. She also excels in cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, IPL, Cool Sculpting, and more.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Bagheri majored in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. After earning her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, she completed her internship at the University of Utah Medical Center and her residency at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, where she served as Chief Resident.

With a focus on surgical treatments and cosmetic improvements, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body. Dermatology is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.

Publishing articles in several medical journals, Dr. Bagheri was the first prize winner at the annual Conrad Stritzler dermatology resident competition at the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, and the winner of the American Heart Association Research Scholars Award at Duke University. 

Additionally, she is the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), Top 10 Doctor – City (2014), On-Time Doctor Award (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), and Compassionate Doctor Award - 5 Year Honoree (2020).

On a more personal note, Dr. Bagheri currently lives in Newport Beach with her husband and two daughters. She speaks both English and Farsi.
