Palm trees always symbolized good times for Dr. Day, thus he committed to manifesting his private practice’s vision with the name “Oasis”, adorned with a palm and waterfall motif. Within this tranquil and enjoyable ambiance, he and his dedicated team attend to patients, ensuring that each visit is a “cool and refreshing change from the ordinary!”
Growing up in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Day, at the age of 14 and in braces himself, decided then that he would become an orthodontist. After graduating from Mayo High School, he attended Brigham Young University where he completed his pre-dental requirements, majoring in Biology. He then received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree with high honors from Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating first in his class.
After serving active duty in the US Army as a general dentist in Europe for three years, Dr. Day returned to the University of Louisville for his Master’s in Oral Biology and Certificate of Orthodontics. He then served as Chief of Orthodontics at the Army Hospital in Fort Bliss, Texas, working on soldiers with difficult surgical orthodontic needs. Meanwhile, Dr. Day also worked at a civilian orthodontic practice once a week and on the cleft lip and palate team at the Border Children’s Health Clinic.
In 2005, he finished his military commitment and moved with his family to Gilbert, Arizona where he opened Oasis Orthodontics. Since then, he and his team at Oasis have been tirelessly crafting beautiful smiles for their patients.
Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Day is an esteemed member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce.
Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws. As an orthodontist, Dr. Spivak is responsible for identifying problems with the positioning of a patient’s teeth and with their oral development.
