Dr. Toro is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). Dr. Toro earned his medical degree from the Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogotá, Colombia in 1997. He then went on to complete his residency at the same University, followed by his fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, New York.
Dr. Toro has received several awards throughout his line of work, including Compassionate Doctor Recognition from 2016 to 2018, On-Time Doctor Award from 2016 to 2018, and Patients’ Choice Award from 2016 to 2018. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Toro is a reviewer for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and an Associate Editor for The American Journal of Orthopedics.
