Get to know Internist Dr. Rainer Khetan, who serves patients in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Khetan is a board-certified internist with Baylor Scott & White Signature Medicine – Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is professionally interested in preventative healthcare, congestive heart failure, and diabetes. 

Locally, he is affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center and Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Dallas.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Khetan graduated with his medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center–Houston in 1994. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1996 and 1998, respectively. 

Following his training, he attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. Khetan is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Happily married with three children, Dr. Khetan enjoys working out and traveling with his family.
