Compassionate and highly skilled cardiologist Satjit Bhusri, MD, brings nearly 15 years of intensive study and training in medicine to his patients. The cardiovascular disease specialist sees patients at Upper East Side Cardiology, located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.

Dr. Bhusri completed all of his advanced medical training at Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side of New York City. During his tenure, he served as the Chief Medical Resident, was President of the House Officer Association, and served as Chief Cardiac Fellow.

Dr. Bhusri graduated from Cornell University as a Cornell Tradition Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics & Development, and SUNY-Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn as an Alumni Scholar. He has extensive research experience in molecular oncology and molecular hematology from Cold Spring Harbor Labs and Harvard Medical School, respectively. He also completed an accelerated executive management program at Yale University.

In 2015, Dr. Bhusri suffered from Cardiac Shock and was hospitalized for a month in Intensive Care. He was given only a 20 percent chance of survival. He survived. The doctor became the patient. With a strong network of top physicians and supportive family, he healed.​

This experience became the cornerstone of his life and made him a more mindful and healthy person, physician, husband, and father. His hope is to share this experience with his patients as he helps them to become more mindful and healthy in their lives. At the state-of-the-art practice in New York City, Dr. Bhusri and the staff offer patients access to top-of-the-line diagnostic tools like echocardiogram and stress testing. Patients also receive personalized and comprehensive treatment plans for a variety of cardiovascular problems, including chest pain, heart failure, hypertension, palpitation, and varicose veins. Remote care monitoring is also available.

He is a selected Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Council Member of the American Heart Association, and the former Associate Program Director of the prestigious Cardiology training fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital.
