An excellent dermatologist, Dr. Glashofer is in practice with The Derm Group, operating out of the office in West Orange, New Jersey.
Specializing in Mohs surgery and reconstruction, he has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and is an expert in the use of Botox®, dermal fillers, and lasers, to obtain a more youthful appearance. He is also an expert in treating dermatologic medical conditions such as acne, psoriasis, rashes, and hair loss.
Founded in 1992, The Derm Group has over 15 convenient locations in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. It offers innovative, comprehensive solutions to help their patients look and feel their best. Its staff of board-certified physicians, physician assistants, and licensed medical aestheticians come from a wide range of specialties and medical backgrounds in order to treat a wide range of skin conditions.
Before joining The Derm Group in 2015, Dr. Glashofer was the Director of Mohs Surgery at Island Dermatology in New York.
Alongside his clinical practice, he has medical privileges at North Shore University Hospital, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and HMH Mountainside Medical Center.
Regarding his educational background, Dr. Glashofer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, Honors Program, and then obtained a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. Following this, he attended George Washington University Medical School, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, graduating with distinction. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, and then proceeded to complete his residency in dermatology at Tulane University, where he served as Chief Resident. Pursuing additional training, he completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous reconstruction, and cosmetic dermatologic procedures at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dedicated to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
Professionally, he is an active member of the Skin Cancer Foundation and the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF), where he serves on their scientific advisory board. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
