A board-certified family physician, Dr. Meisami is well-trained to treat patients of all ages, from newborns to adults to the elderly. She joined Newport Family Medicine in 2007 as well as can be found on staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, California.

A Southern California native, Dr. Meisami received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she stayed to pursue her medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine. During medical school, she served as President of the Family Medicine Interest Group to help further her knowledge of the field as well as her colleagues.
In addition, she received five Letters of Distinction awards during her third year clinical rotations in medical school in internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, psychiatry and surgery. She graduated from medical school, completing both a medical degree as well as a Thesis in Primary Care, specifically in Women’s Health.
Subsequently, she completed her residency training in family medicine at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, affiliated with University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She served as Chief Resident of Gynecology in her final year.
Holding a license to practice medicine in California, Dr. Meisami is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
Moreover, she has been certified by the Drug Enforcement Agency, and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), and Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS).
Having been an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice since 2000, Dr. Meisami is also an active member of the California Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Women’s Association.
