Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Anjan R. Shah, who serves patients in Brandon, Florida.
Specializing in complex periarticular and polytrauma injuries, Dr. Shah is a staffed orthopedic & trauma surgeon with Orthopedic Trauma Service (OTS), a division of Florida Orthopedic Institute, that he helped create. The OTS team provides expert care for patients with severe musculoskeletal injuries, including pelvic and hip reconstructions, one of his areas of expertise.
“It is my role as a physician to assist my patients by providing them with world class treatment and therapy so they are able to return to their pre-injury life” expressed the doctor.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 2002. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Drexel University, and received his fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma surgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
In addition to seeing patients at the Florida Orthopedic Institute, Dr. Shah serves as the Chief of Surgery and Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Brandon Regional Hospital.
