Dr. Michelle Guchereau specializes in the psychiatric evaluation, complementary therapy approach, and medical management of children, adolescents and adults in California and Oregon. She has been certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Guchereau has over a decade of experience as a psychiatric clinician, and earned her Medical Doctorate at the prestigious University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. She served in the US Air Force and was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for her support of active duty military and their family members all over the world.
Dr. Guchereau specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the attention issues (ADD/ADHD), depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD and PTSD. She is committed to providing specialized and individualized service, and a comprehensive treatment plan is created for each patient. She is experienced in multiple modalities of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches.
She tailors each psychotherapeutic and medication intervention to the individual patient and issues presented, taking care to understand and work within the framework of psychological, social and biological factors unique to each individual.
