Dr. Aziz is a Clinical Professor of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery at GW University hospital and has a large private practice. His areas of special interest include, bypass surgery, valve surgery, endocarditis, thoacic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm surgery and minimally invasive techniques, procedures to support the failing heart and or lung, procedures to remove blood clots from the heart and lungs, management of complex heart and lung conditions, diabetic heart disease, heart disease in runback failure patients and heart diseases in the elderly. Dr Aziz did his surgical training at Stanford University and the Univ. of Minnesota and was a tenured Associate Professor and co-director of the heart transplant program at the University of Washington.
