Dr. Lambert is a highly regarded psychologist who is passionate about helping others and fostering healthier and happier relationships. With a unique style of intervention, he has been described by his clients as genuine, warm, respectful, innovative, fun, enlightening, and appropriately challenging.
His clinical specialties include couples therapy, child and family therapy, personal and family life transitions (such as divorce and grief), identity and career development, and spirituality/faith issues. He is also skilled in providing executive and personal coaching, consultations, and a wide variety of dynamic workshops.
Developing an interest for psychology at the young age of 12, Dr. Lambert started his counseling journey at the age of 16 by becoming a Peer Educator for Planned Parenthood. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Illinois State University, and received his Master of Arts & Doctor of Psychology degrees in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University’s School of Professional Psychology.
Subsequently, he expanded his professional experience with a predoctoral fellowship at Salesmanship Club Youth & Family Centers, Inc. (now known as Momentous Institute, Inc.), and an informal postdoctoral fellowship at Southern Methodist University’s Memorial Health Center. He spent almost 10 years as a senior staff member and supervisor before completing his Master of Business Administration degree from SMU’s Cox School of Business in 2011.
In January 2012, Dr. Lambert founded Lambert Psychology, PLLC, which has since evolved into Great Life Counseling Center. With a diverse team of male & female clinicians of various cultural/ethnic backgrounds, Great Life Counseling Center provides psychological services to people of all ages, particularly specializing in adjustment issues, relationship issues, and existential/spirituality issues.
Moreover, he has served on the board of directors for Galaxy Counseling Center and the executive committee of the Dallas Psychological Association. Currently, he is the primary supervisor for two of Great Life Counseling Center’s postdoctoral fellows and two of the center’s doctoral-level practicum students. Dr. Lambert also enjoys serving as a mentor and executive coach to several mental health professionals and clergy in the Dallas area.
