Dr. Stice is an extraordinary physician and businesswoman. She is a highly sought after plastic surgeon and a well educated and highly experienced plastic surgeon, who has been in private practice since 1985. She is the owner and director of Metropolitan Plastic Surgery, PC specializing in aesthetic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Stice is also the CEO of International Medical Exchange (IME). IME was created to to enable medical teams to travel to third world countries to work and teach their counterparts at local regional hospitals. It also creates opportunities for physicians and nurses in third world locations by funding travel to the USA for projects.
Remarkably, she is also the founder and owner of Salama Stoves, a 501c3 organization with manufacturing plants in Nairobi, Kenya. Salama Stoves provides safe, clean and energy efficient cooking solutions to families in rural Kenya, Tanzania and Haiti. Dr Stice had been visiting Kenya to perform reconstructive surgeries on burn victims, an experience which gave her the concept for Salama Stoves. While there she learned how damaging inadequate cooking solutions were be to the health of villagers and their environment. She witnessed first hand the terrible burns, respiratory problems and eye disease caused by the open fires. In 2015, she put together a team to design a practical cooking stove that was durable, adaptable and easy to install.
Dr. Stice earned her degree in biology and immunology from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, graduating magna cum laude. She received her Masters Degree from the American College of Physician Executives, an educational organization focused on physicians who hold leadership and management positions with headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
She received her medical degree from University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, world-renowned as a leader in physician education, scientific research, and patient care. She completed her residency in general surgery as well as in plastic surgery from the prestigious Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, named the best hospital in the nation and ranked #1 in more specialties than any other hospital by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Stice is certified in the state of Nebraska and board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is affiliated with CHI Health Lakeside Hospital, West Omaha’s only full-service hospital.
The recipient of numerous awards and accolades, Dr. Stice has been named a Best Doctor in America, is a Diplomate of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a Fellow (FACS) of the American College of Surgeons.
