Get to know Family Physician Dr. Jerrold S. Gertzman, who serves patients in New Jersey.

A seasoned family physician, Dr. Gertzman works at Capital Health Primary Care – Quakerbridge & Capital Health Primary Care – Hamilton, affiliates of Capital Health System.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Gertzman completed his Bachelor of Accountancy degree at The George Washington University, followed by a Master’s degree in Business/Tax at The George Washington University School of Business. He earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in family medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center, where he worked as a physician for 14 years.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

As a testament of his success, Dr. Gertzman has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2018), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2016, 2015), and On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2016).
