He earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in family medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center, where he worked as a physician for 14 years.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
