Get to know Family Physician Dr. Malik Dababneh, who serves patients throughout the State of Michigan.

Dr. Dababneh, the Creator of Prevention Health Score, is on a mission to educate people of all ages and backgrounds on disease prevention, health improvement, and achieving a longer life with a high quality of life.

His vision is to establish a space where individuals can learn and enhance their well-being through holistic primary prevention of disease, emphasizing the physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of health.

Originally a 1967 Palestinian war refugee from Jordan, Dr. Dababneh grew up in southwest Detroit and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986.

Over 27 years, he practiced medicine in both rural and inner-city hospitals and served as the past president of the Fulton County Medical Society in Illinois.

Having battled marijuana addiction since the age of fifteen to cope with childhood depression and anxiety resulting from post-traumatic stress, Dr. Dababneh spent seven years in federal prison from 2015 to 2022. Following his incarceration, he immersed himself in living the holistic approach he had been teaching his patients for decades. This led to the development of a healthcare guide and a creation of a one and only self-assessment to battle primary disease.

The creation of Nation Heal Thyself, the Prevention Health Score and the concept of the Holistic Spoke Wheel is a culmination of nearly five decades of combined medical experience serving rural areas and inner cities as a family physician. The eight spokes include the major areas of health that are vital to wellness and longevity, making it the first of its kind to consider all essential components in disease prevention.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Happily married, Dr. Dababneh and his wife have four adult children and have been blessed with ten grandchildren.
