Get to know Endodontist Dr. Kevin Less, who serves patients in California.

A skilled endodontist, Dr. Less opened Turlock Endodontics on October 1, 1999, where he has since been providing exceptional endodontic care. His comprehensive understanding of oral health allows him to approach complex cases with a holistic mindset, ensuring the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, he developed a strong foundation of values and work ethic that would shape his successful career. After completing his dental education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1974, he decided to serve his country and joined the Air Force Dental Corps.

For the next two decades, Dr. Less focused on pain management and full mouth reconstruction in his general dental practice in Ohio. During this time, he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of dental care. However, his thirst for knowledge and desire to provide the highest level of care prompted him to embark on a new educational journey.

In 1997, he returned to school at the University of Southern California Dental School. His dedication and commitment paid off as he successfully completed the school’s Endodontic Residency Program and obtained a Certificate of Endodontics. He emerged as the only residency trained endodontist in the Turlock area, ready to make a difference in his community.

Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field, Dr. Less is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists.
Endodontics is the dental specialty concerned with the study and treatment of the infected and inflamed dental pulp. Along with two to three years of advanced training beyond dental school, endodontists have incredible precision and hand-eye coordination, making them highly skilled in performing complex treatments. They use the most specialized and advanced technology to treat tooth pain and perform both orthograde (normal)root canal treatments and retrograde (surgical) root canal treatments. No one is better at saving your natural teeth!
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Less cherishes his family life. He has four grown children who have pursued diverse paths in medicine, chemistry, computer science, and law. As a devoted father, he prioritizes spending quality time with his loved ones.

When he finds a moment of respite, he indulges in his various interests. He has an unwavering passion for following Ohio State football, a testament to his Buckeye roots. Traveling allows him to broaden his horizons and explore different cultures. Additionally, he maintains a disciplined fitness routine, recognizing the importance of personal well-being. His intellectual curiosity is fulfilled through reading, further expanding his knowledge beyond the realm of dentistry.
