Dr. duPont is a trusted, fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist with North Houston Gynecologic Oncology Surgeons in Shenandoah, Texas. She has expertise in the treatment of patients with genetic cancer syndromes such as BRCA 1 & 2 gene mutations, Lynch syndrome, and Cowden syndrome. 

The mission of North Houston Gynecologic Oncology Surgeons is to provide comprehensive, personalized, evidence-based gynecologic oncology care to women. There, Dr. duPont’s practice focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of all gynecologic malignancies. Her interests include robotic surgery, health care policy, and health care disparities.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the Texas A&M College of Medicine in 1999. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, followed by her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in 2007. She also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Meeting each woman’s expectations and needs, Dr. duPont is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & gynecologic oncology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

In good standing with numerous professional organizations, she is a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership, the American College of Surgeons (Fellow), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Fellow), the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, the Houston Medical Forum, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the North American Menopause Society, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and the Texas Medical Association.

In addition to being recognized for her involvement in clinical research, Dr. duPont has authored and co-authored several journal articles. She has served on the Gynecologic Oncology Group’s cervix and vulvar committee, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s cervical and uterine cancer panel, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Health Care Disparities committee.

Gynecologic oncology is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on cancers of the female reproductive system, including ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal cancer, cervical cancer, and vulvar cancer. A gynecologic oncologist is a physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating cancers that are located on a woman’s reproductive organs.

Having won a number of accolades, Dr. duPont is the recipient of: Gynecologic Oncology Group Young Investigator Award (2012), American Medical Association Foundation Leadership Award (2002), James A.
