Veteran Health Care Professional Balances Clinical Excellence with Academic Leadership  

Dr. Harish “Hash” C. Chintapalli, DO, a highly regarded neuroradiologist, brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to his role at the Veterans Affairs Hospital Houston. Specializing in the intricate areas of the brain, the neck, and the spine, he collaborates closely with neurosurgeons and neurologists, providing critical support in preoperative cases and procedural interventions across various departments, notably neurosurgery, neurology, and internal medicine.  

In parallel to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hash serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine, where he actively contributes to shaping the next generation of medical professionals. 

His illustrious medical journey commenced with the attainment of a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the distinguished University of North Texas Health Science Center in 1997. Opting to delve deeper into neurology, Dr. Hash’s passion for teaching emerged during his private practice, ultimately leading him to a fulfilling career opportunity at the VA Hospital.  

Driven by a fervent commitment to medical education, Dr. Hash’s decision to join the VA Hospital resonated with his aspirations, further inspired by his father’s legacy as a respected retired physician within the same institution. To stay at the forefront of advancements in his field, he remains an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Head and Neck Society.  

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Hash treasures precious moments with his two daughters, instilling in them the values of compassion and philanthropy towards those less fortunate. As he envisions the future, Dr. Hash’s greatest hope is for his children to lead fulfilling lives marked by health and happiness.
