College, 4 years of medical school with an MD degree. Three to four years of psychiatric residency. It is a long haul and worth it if you want to be able to prescribe psychiatric medicine. How can I get rid of my depression and anxiety?
There are too many causes fore anxiety and depression, (finances, career, family, general dissatisfaction with life) to be able to answer that question. Talking to a professional, psychiatrist, psychologist, who does not immediately prescribe medication is probably the best way to go. READ MORE

PTSD is a catchall term that can refer to one or more frightening underlying emotions that have been stimulated by a severe, or more than one severe, emotional trauma, These emotions can include one or more of the following underlying feelings such as guilt, anxiety, depression. After determining just which of these, or all of these, that are unique to your husband, appropriate medication can be prescribed. However, I do not believe that medication is enough as it acts only as a palliative and not a cure. Can a diet help treat my child with ADHD?
A low sugar diet can often help, and surprisingly enough coffee helps in some people, but an accurate diagnosis of true ADHD is made, (severe anxiety or agitated depression can mimic the symptoms) judicious use of medication can do wonders for him. READ MORE
Can insomnia be psychological?
Yes, it can. Insomnia in children, as in adults, is often a result of anxiety, worries about the next day, or even a form of separation anxiety from her parents. However, as with any physical symptom, physical causes must be ruled out. READ MORE
