Get to know Dentist Dr. Ivan Santos, who serves patients in Lakeside, California.

Dr. Santos is an easy-going, yet detail-oriented dentist who is always looking for the best outcome for each patient. Experienced in orthodontics and endodontics, he fosters a calm, controlled environment during every procedure. He is the co-owner of Smile Dental Lakeside in California, which he established in 2015 alongside his brother, Dr. Arthur Santos, DDS. 

As highly-trained, second-generation dentists, the Santos brothers understand the importance of family values. At Smile Dental Lakeside, they strive to make each patient feel like they are a part of the Santos family by ensuring their comfort and the best comprehensive dental care possible. Some of the services that they offer include crowns and bridges, dental implants, root canals, orthodontics – braces, clear correct aligners, dentures, fillings, deep cleaning, and more.

A San Diego native, Dr. Santos graduated from the University of San Diego High School. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at De La Salle Bajío University in the city of Leon, Guanajuato. Upon relocating to the United States, he studied endodontics/endodontology at the UCLA School of Dentistry and completed Progressive Orthodontic Seminars in 2017.

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of several professional dental organizations, including the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the San Diego Dental Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
