Dr. Kotzker is a board-certified nephrologist who is interested in all aspects of nephrology care, including chronic kidney disease, hypertension, acute kidney injury, diabetic nephropathy, dialysis, transplantation, and glomerulonephritis. He currently practices at and is on the management board of Florida Kidney Physicians with offices throughout the state of Florida. He primarily sees patients in offices in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Fort Lauderdale. He serves on the Clinical Operations committee for both Florida Kidney Physicians and the national Renal Care Organization.

On the subject of his academic involvement, Dr. Kotzker serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at both Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine and Charles E. Schmidt Medical School at Florida Atlantic University. He enjoys teaching students and residents and dedicates his time to lecturing, as well as rounding with future doctors. He is also a primary investigator for a number of clinical pharmaceutical research trials for different nephrology conditions.
He currently serves as the Medical Director of Dialysis Services at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, DaVita West Boynton Beach and DaVita Boca Raton dialysis centers. Dr. Kotzker is also the Physician Lead for DaVita’s South Florida Integrated Care program which aims to deliver better overall medical care to dialysis patients.
Prior to his current endeavours, he practiced at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel and then in private practice briefly in New Brunswick, NJ before relocating to Florida in 2003.
After earning his medical degree from the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the same educational venue. Following this, he completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Recognized for his expertise in the field of nephrology, Dr. Kotzker is board-certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
