Areas of research

I am actively involved in research related to reducing the incidence of infections in spine surgery. I was the principle site investigator for a randomized controlled trial studying the efficacy of a novel agent in the treatment of acute spinal cord injury. Additionally, we are studying the efficacy of neurophysiological testing during spine surgery procedures and with hardware placement. Finally, we have recently submitted for publication the only paper studying the incidence of adult idiopathic hyperostosis in the North American population.
