Get to know Psychologist Dr. Colleen M. Peruo, who serves patients in Clifton, New Jersey.

Dr. Peruo is a psychologist who is currently serving patients at Associates in Counseling Services in Clifton, New Jersey. With a wealth of experience to call upon, she provides a wide range of psychological treatments and services for patients of all ages, including group counseling, family counseling, and couples counseling. 

Dr. Peruo is particularly known as an expert in the treatment of trauma, including post traumatic stress disorder, as well as addictions such as alcohol and opiate addiction.

Dr. Peruo earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 1991. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses while practicing as a psychologist in New Jersey.

Psychology is the science of behavior and mind. It includes the study of conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. Psychologists, like Dr. Peruo, focus on the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues.
