Get to know Internist Dr. David J. Janeira, who serves patients in Gainesville, Georgia.

Specializing in hospital medicine, Dr. Janeira is a board-certified internist with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Inpatient Medicine in Gainesville, Georgia.

Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Inpatient Medicine is composed of board-certified internal medicine physicians who specialize in caring for patients during their stay in the hospital. From admission to discharge, the physicians work as a team to help manage and coordinate each patient’s care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Back in 2012, Dr. Janeira graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia. He then went on to attend medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating with his medical degree in 2016.

Furthering his studies, he performed a residency in internal medicine at Augusta University Medical Center, ending in 2019.

Committed to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Attaining membership status, Dr. Janeira is an active member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
