Get to know Acupuncturist Dr. Shi-Ping Lu, who serves the population of Redwood City, California.

Dr. Shi-Ping Lu is a Licensed Acupuncturist currently practicing with her private practice, Acupuncture & Weight Control Center. Additionally, she has earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Lu is a medical provider contracted with multi-health-network in Redwood City, CA where she has practiced for over a decade. She is specialized in pain relief, weight loss, using the skill of acupuncture-therapy and herb-pills to help with acute-chronic pain, headaches, and depression. 

Dr. Lu graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where she also gained clinic experience. To stay up to date in her field, she attends medical associations to share updated skills with medical doctors and other acupuncture experts. She enjoys advanced continuing education and training programs to keep the higher service level for patients and her clinic.

It involves the superficial insertion of hair-thin needles into points on the body that have been proven to relieve pain and disease. Nowadays, most people come to an acupuncturist for medical problems that do not respond well to western medicine (such as drugs, surgery, pain killers, etc.).
