Dr. McFadden is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland. He continued his studies at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. McFadden then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program in the United States Army where he served honorably for 4 years. 

Dr. McFadden is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. The organization represents excellence in education, scientific development,and patient care. Dr. McFadden is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. 

In 2013, The Consumer’s Research Council of America certified Dr. McFadden as America’s Top Dentist 2013. The criteria used in the evaluations include years of formal education and continuing education, number of years practicing in the dental profession, as well as board certifications and affiliations with professional dental associations.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. Having an interest in transforming patients’ smiles, Dr. McFadden believes that a person’s smile is the gateway to their character.

In his personal life, Dr. McFadden is married to Laureen, his college sweetheart. They have a daughter, Maya, and a son, Gerald Jr. (“Ellis”), who are their joy. In his spare time, Dr. McFadden enjoys running, racquetball, and golf. However, his greatest joy is simply spending time with his family and his friends.
