Get to know Family Physician Dr. Patricia Feito-Fernandez, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

A competent family physician, Dr. Feito-Fernandez works with patients at Baptist Health Primary Care in Miami, Florida. She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of health issues, including chronic illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease and arthritis; minor injuries and illnesses such as ear infections, flu and colds; routine checkups and disease prevention; and healthy lifestyle choices.

Before embarking on her professional journey, she received her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University and her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she won the Outstanding Family Medicine Intern Award and was most recently Chief Resident.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), with additional areas of concentration in women’s health, inpatient medicine and procedures. She is also an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Among her most notable achievements, Dr. Feito-Fernandez has been the recipient of the On-Time Doctor Award (2016, 2015), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016, 2015), and Patients’ Choice Award (2016).
