Get to know Cardiologist Dr. H. Michael Bolooki, who serves patients in Fort Myers, Florida.

Dr. Bolooki is a highly-trained cardiologist in practice with LPG Cardiology – The Sanctuary in Fort Myers, Florida. His clinical interests include cardiac imaging (echo, CT, and nuclear), stress testing, EKG/Holter interpretation, irregular heart rhythms, valvular heart disease, heart failure management, and preoperative cardiac evaluation.

Upon graduating with his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Bolooki went on to serve his residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic staying for an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. This was followed by a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Having laid the framework for excellence in the rest of his medical career, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He holds an additional board certification in clinical informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM).

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Bolooki’s interests include running, mountain biking, listening to music, and technology.
