An experienced urologist, Dr. Cambio works with patients at Brown Urology in West Warwick, Rhode Island. In addition to general urology, his practice interests include prostate disease, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal.
A leader in advancing urological practice in Rhode Island, he has had a major role in the introduction of prostate ultrasonography and laser lithotripsy to the state. He developed Rhode Island’s first in-office surgical suite dedicated to urologic procedures, and served as Chief of Urology at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for over 20 years.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Cambio attended St. Louis University in Missouri and the University of Bologna in Italy. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara with additional training at St. Louis University School of Medicine, and completed his surgical training and residency in urology at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University School of Medicine.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in urology through the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
