Get to know Dentist Dr. Michael T. Beckham, who serves patients in Cave Creek, Arizona.
Dr. Beckham is a dentist with over 35 years of experience in his field. He is currently serving patients’ dental needs at his own private dental practice – Beckham Dental – in Cave Creek, Arizona. He decided to start his own practice after watching patient after patient not get the care and service they deserved. “Our office does not operate like a clinic. We are not interested in seeing volumes of patients each day. Rather, we are dedicated to delivering excellent dental care to those who honor us by trusting us to care for them. We treat you as we would treat a member of our family. It’s that simple” as stated by Dr. Beckham.
Dr. Beckham’s family rule growing up was that he had to work or play sports. He played high school football and, in the summer months during high school and college, worked at factories on the south side of Chicago. After graduating from high school, Dr. Beckham attended the University of Arizona for his undergraduate degree. He then went back home to Illinois to attend dental school at the University of Illinois, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
“Since graduating from dental school in 1981, I have taken countless hours of continuing education in all facets of dentistry. Most years, I have recorded two to three times the number of hours required by the state board. This, combined with over twenty-nine years of clinical practice experience, affords me the opportunity to provide cutting edge, top quality dental services to you and your family” said Dr. Beckham.
Dr. Beckham maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the Central Arizona Dental Society, the Arizona State Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a dentist, Dr. Beckham focuses on creating and maintaining good oral health for his patients throughout every phase of their lives. One of the most rewarding parts of his job is when he is able to take a patient who has been treated poorly in the past and give them the dental care they deserve.
Dr. Beckham has been married to his wife, Reneé, for over 20 years. They have two sons, three cattle dogs, and a 20-year-old African grey parrot named Joey. In his spare time, Dr. Beckham enjoys hiking, biking, running, and hanging out in Cave Creek.
