Tracy Rudnicki, L.Ac, MS, is an acupuncturist practicing in Truckee, CA. since 2003. She originally became interested in acupuncture when she was living in Osaka, Japan because of the incredible effects it had for helping her neck pain. She then decided to learn this ancient healing art in able to help other people. Acupuncture patients are evaluated and treated based on the concepts of oriental medicine. Acupuncturists complete their evaluations by getting a patient history, looking at and touching the body. Often pulse and tongue diagnosis is used to evaluate their patients conditions. Then, they place very fine acupuncture needles into specific points on the body. Stimulating these acu-points is how an acupuncturist treats their patients' medical conditions.
