The diagnosis and treatment of active individuals and athletes of all ages, ranging from toddlers to 90-year-old marathon warriors, has been Dr. Honsik’s career passion. He specializes in the conservative treatment of pediatric and adult fractures, having developed and managed fracture clinics since 2001. For the more accurate diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, he utilizes musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound. Through the use of ultrasound for guidance, he is able to provide care for chronic tendon injuries with microsurgical techniques such as Tenex (tenotomy), which can be performed in the clinic setting.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Honsik attended DePauw University and the University of Illinois for his undergraduate degrees. He then graduated with honors with his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. At DePauw, he competed on the track team and was the school Hammer throw record holder for 10 years.
