Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Chandrupatla obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from GMI in Flint, Michigan in 1991. Following this, he pursued a Master of Science Degree in Bioengineering at the University of Michigan in 1993.
Continuing his educational journey, Dr. Chandrupatla earned a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in 1997.
For his postgraduate training, he dedicated the years 1997 to 2000 to internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the same institution, extending from 2000 to 2003.
Providing expert care in digestive and liver diseases, Dr. Chandrupatla is board certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
