  • I’m ovulating 1 day before my period?

Usually, ovulation is around. Day 14 to 18 with the period starting about 2 weeks later. Ovulation time can vary but usually, the cycle is about 2wks later. I am not sure unless the ovulation test is not accurate. You can do a BBT chart to see when your resting temperature rises. A good, informative website is Fertility Friend .com READ MORE

  • I'm having trouble conceiving?

You need to look at your ovulation to see if it is timely. One online is Fertility Friend & it explains a lot of things. Other things you can do are to check his semen analysis & do things like HSG (hysterosalpingogram) to check to make sure The Fallopian tubes are open (outpatient procedure). I think the Fertility Friend website will help you get organized also. You are still young but maybe start looking into this. READ MORE

  • Over the counter medicines for irregular periods?

Weight loss & weight gain can affect your cycles. I also think about things like thyroid & if you haven’t had that checked, I would think about that. Stress can also affect a lot of things including weight. I don’t know of any specific over-the-counter meds that would necessarily help. The “pills” Would probably regulate your cycle. You have to make that decision. If you have not seen your gynecologist, it would be a good time to get an evaluation. READ MORE

  • I have a prolonged period?

It can just be an abnormal cycle with the following being ok. I would suggest getting a pregnancy test to be sure. You will need to see your physician if this continues. Another cause is missing a birth control pill if you are on one. READ MORE

  • Am I pregnant?

It is hard to tell. It could all be premenstrual symptoms. I would consider getting a pregnancy test to be sure. READ MORE

  • I don't want to be pregnant?

I would get another pregnancy test. The blood test is more sensitive. The pills are generally effective after 1 month of use. READ MORE

  • Does the pap smear break my hymen?

If you have been sexually actively it should not. Everyone is made differently & the hymen can also be different in different women. There are different sized speculum’s used to do the exam. There is an option to use a smaller speculum for the exam. Your Doctor will have to use his judgement on this. If your hymen opening is very small, there is an outpatient operation than can open it up some. That would would help to use tampons or if you became sexually active. READ MORE

  • How do you know if you had a possible miscarriage?

It looks like a small blood clot. There is about 20% miscarriage rate with pregnancy, in general. I can’t tell from the picture if it is a miscarriage or not. I would recommend getting some lab done to check your hormone levels for pregnancy. If you are >6 weeks, a sonogram may be helpful. READ MORE

  • Do I have a bladder infection?

You may need a urinalysis to check for urinary infection. Good time to get checked. READ MORE

  • I'm having SI pain after hysterectomy?

I think it would be a good idea to be checked again by your Doctor. I assume the surgery went well. Sometimes there is some granulation (healing tissue) at the Vaginal cuff that can cause bleeding. I am not sure what is causing your pain. I would suggest having your Doctor check you again READ MORE

  • Will cps take my baby if I test positive at birth?

I don’t think so for that. Just be a good mom! READ MORE

  • I have strange gas?

It sounds like air trapped in the vagina. Should not be serious or the result of any medication you are on. I have seen it at all ages. You can also see a doctor if you are concerned. READ MORE

It may be some type of vaginitis & can be checked by your physician. The symptoms are not necessarily from an STD. I would suggest seeing your physician to be sure. READ MORE

Sometimes they can be ingrown hair follicles. Probably best to let your Doctor look at them for sure it is nothing else READ MORE
