Dr. Manasherov is a trusted psychiatrist specializing in psychotic disorders, addiction, and substance abuse. He can be found on staff within the Department of Psychiatry at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.

The Department of Psychiatry at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is proud to provide an array of behavioral and mental health services to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community it serves. Services provided encompass many levels, including: emergency services for adults & children/adolescents; acute care hospitalization for adults & children/adolescents; ambulatory behavioral health services for adults & children/adolescents; and community-oriented services for adults & children/adolescents

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Manasherov serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the  Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. 

With a focus on the delivery of therapeutic care, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Manasherov graduated with his medical degree from the Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Medicine in Georgia in 1974. He then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.
