Yes, I agree, you should see your physician as soon as possible. Hopefully you are still a candidate for oral medications. I had stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma surgery on 5/8/18. On 5/7//18, I had to get approval for the surgery from my primary, Dr Carlos Porter. I went to his office. I had not met him before. His assistant does all the vitals and an EKG. Nice young woman and we have a laugh or two. Dr Porter comes in and asks “How are things going? *Today’s been kind of rough.*Why? (I thought that was a stupid question.) I tell him I’ve been frustrated by the process. No one ever went through what I should expect, like You’ve Got Cancer 101. The conversation goes in a downward spiral until my voice has raised. I’m not yelling. My voice is raised because he is trying to upset me and he’s succeeding. He was belligerent from the start. He wasn’t listening to me. He was trying to find ways to get under my skin. All of a sudden, he gets up from his chair, says he doesn’t have to put up with this, orders me out, and threatens to call the police. Did anyone miss that part? Threatened to call the police. I have to admit, I went into raging bitch mode because I couldn’t believe what has transpired and his attitude. I open the door to the waiting room and tell my husband that I’m being kicked out, refused my surgery authorization, (which I find out he cannot do) and am threatened with calling the police. I return to the inside as my husband joins me and ask if the police have been called, yet. If not, he better f-ing call them because I’m not leaving until I talk to them. My husband tries to talk to him and is told he must leave because he’s threatening. He hasn’t even lifted a finger. I call my surgeon, Dr Kolluri, who I recommend highly, and tell her what’s going on. She says she’d do the same thing I did. Before she falls off her chair, she says she’ll take care of this. The police come and were terrific. Got more understanding from them. In fact, the female officer told the dickhead doc that this was a very unfortunate incident that didn’t have to happen. We received a warning to not trespass. Not to worry. I wouldn’t step two miles near his office. I would like his license revoked. He is totally unprofessional, belligerent, and arrogant. No one should have to deal with this kind of doctor. BTW, I’m 70 years old and good natured. However, I can go from 0 to 60 in a New York minute when I’m being treated poorly. And, I was treated beyond poorly.
