After earning his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1980, he completed his internship at Harding Hospital. He then performed both his residency in psychiatry and his fellowship in child and adolescent at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in 1983 and 1985, respectively.
With over four decades of experience, Dr. Hartnagel is board-certified in psychiatry & child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
