His fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry was at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Friedman is appointed to the Medical Staff of New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

A skilled psychiatrist, Dr. Friedman is the Owner of Tenafly Psychiatric Associates, LLC in Tenafly, New Jersey, with two satellite offices in the Upper West Side and in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. He specializes in all areas of psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry, anxiety, depression, psychopharmacology, post traumatic stress, OCD, family and marital counseling, panic disorder, phobias, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, memory issues and testing, evaluation and treatment of Alzheimer’s Dementia and other forms of dementia and complications, nursing home and assisted living visits.
With a broad educational background, he graduated from Princeton University and completed an internship in internal medicine at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Continuously advancing his efforts, Dr. Friedman is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the New Jersey Psychiatric Association, the American Association for Geratric Psychiatry, the American Medical Association, and the New York State Medical Society.
Among his other roles, he is a Voluntary Faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders.
