Get to know Orthodontist Dr. Clay Damon, who serves patients in Spokane, Washington.

Dr. Damon is a native of Spokane, Washington and comes from a family of orthodontists. He is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Damon Orthodontics, alongside his cousin, Dr. Paul Damo n. Located in Spokane, Damon Orthodontics is dedicated to providing the finest quality orthodontic treatment in a friendly, enjoyable, and caring environment. 

Damon Orthodontics is a member of Smile For A Lifetime Foundation – a scholarship program dedicated to identifying children whose families are not able to provide them with the orthodontic treatment they need. 

Dr. Floyd Damon, Clay’s father, established the original Damon practice downtown in the Paulsen Center before moving to what is now the Banner Bank Building. Dr. Dwight Damon, Paul’s father founded his practice in the Spokane Valley in the 1970’s. Both sons had the privilege of practicing with their fathers and learning directly from their expertise before taking ownership.

After graduating from Lewis & Clark High School, Dr. Damon went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington on a full academic scholarship. He played varsity basketball for UW for four years and received the Pac-10 All Conference Academic Team Honor. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 1991, followed by his Master of Science in Orthodontics from Case Western Reserve University in 1995. 

Dr. Damon continues to be honored one of Spokane’s “Top Orthodontists”. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. 

Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, formerly referred to as orthodontia, is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws.Dr. Damon’s orthodontic treatment philosophy is patient-centered. He attends to the individual characteristics of each patient and their inherent uniqueness. It is very important to him that his patients enjoy their orthodontic experience and benefit from a great smile when their treatment is finished.

Dr. Damon cares deeply about the total development of young people. That being said, he continuously supports youth sports and youth community organizations. Dr. Damon is a long-term supporter of Spokane’s premier basketball event, Hoopfest. He and his wife, Ann, have four children – Austin, Laina, Max, and Jake.
