Born in South Korea, Dr. Kim and her family immigrated to the United States in 1997. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at SUNY Stony Brook University, and received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013.
Her residency training as Chief Resident was completed at Bellevue Hospital including Jacobi Medical Center, North Central Bronx Hospital, Woodhull Medical Center and Gouverneur Health Medical Center, where she received extensive training in all facets of podiatric medicine and surgery.
Upon postgraduate residency completion, Dr. Kim was given faculty status as Attending Physician at the Podiatric Residency and Wound Care Program at Bellevue Hospital, St. Barnabas Bronx Hospital, and South Nassau Community Hospital. She is responsible for inpatient and outpatient care, as well as all facets of medical and surgical training of the podiatric residents at the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board-qualified by the American Board of Foot Surgery, Dr. Kim is certified in the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society; Restorix Health National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
Additionally, she is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Podiatric Medical Association, the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, and the American Association for Women Podiatrists.
