Renowned Expert in Hematopathology and Leukemia & Lymphoma Brings Unmatched Expertise to New Jersey Practice

A distinguished pathologist with a wealth of experience in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology, Dr. Bhattacharya is the Principal Attending Pathologist at Morristown Pathology Associates in New Jersey.

Boasting a comprehensive range of expertise that includes hematopathology, molecular genetic pathology, and a focus on leukemia & lymphoma, he is known for his proficiency in performing fine needle aspiration biopsies, interpreting lymph node and bone marrow pathology, and providing precise diagnoses that aid in the effective treatment of patients.

Having completed his medical education at Assam Medical College in India in 1975, Dr. Bhattacharyya relocated to the United States to complete his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Finally, he completed two subsequent fellowships in surgical pathology and hematopathology at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Montefiore Medical Center, respectively. 

With board certifications in anatomic & clinical pathology, hematology, and molecular genetic pathology, he exemplifies excellence in the field of pathology and is committed to advancing the quality of care provided to patients at Morristown Medical Center. Among his other roles, he is the Director of Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology at Hackensack University Medical Center, and serves as the Professor of Pathology at HMH School of Medicine, and Clinical Professor of Pathology at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Bhattacharyya has received numerous accolades and credentials, including being recognized as one of the Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area by various publications such as New York Magazine and Jersey’s Best Magazine.
