Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jessica Kingsberg, who serves patients in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Kingsberg is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is affiliated with Bone & Joint Specialists in Las Vegas, Nevada. The physicians and staff at Bone & Joint Specialists pledge to providing the highest level of comprehensive, compassionate, and professional care. “Our mission is to get our patients back on their feet, back to work, back in the game and back to life” as stated on the practice’s website. 

Dr. Kingsberg is also affiliated with VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Mountain View Hospital, Summerlin Hospital, Centennial Hills Hospital, and Valley Hospital. 

Dr. Kingsberg earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences in Toledo, Ohio. She then went on to complete her residency in orthopedic surgery at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She also completed her fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kingsberg is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. It is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. 

Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics is the branch of surgery that deals with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. An orthopedic surgeon offers care to patients suffering from problems associated with the joints, bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They perform surgeries to address trauma, injuries, tumors, infections, and other conditions that require surgical intervention. 

Dr. Kingsberg attributes her success to great communication between her and her patients. Her favorite professional publication is the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing.
