Get to know Radiologist Dr. Rajendra Vazirani, who serves patients in Rancho Mirage, California.

A skilled radiologist, Dr. Vazirani is affiliated with Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

As the valley’s only not-for-profit hospital, Eisenhower Medical Center has provided high quality, compassionate care for more than 45 years through a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic, treatment and emergency facilities. It is an accredited teaching hospital, with a School of Graduate Medical Education training new physicians in the specialties of family medicine and internal medicine.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Vazirani graduated with his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2001, and completed his internship at the University of Nevada at Reno in 2002. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in 2006, and completed his fellowship in body imaging at the University of Miami in 2007. 

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in diagnostic radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options.
