Dr. Macy is a Retired board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is licensed to practice medicine in Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and Montana. Currently, she was affiliated with Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in Rawlins, Wyoming & Salt Lake Regional Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A pioneer for women in medicine, she has delivered over 9,000 babies, including multiple generations in several families.
Growing up in the small town of Burley, Idaho, Dr. Macy graduated with her medical degree from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in 1981. She then moved to Salt Lake City, pursuing an OB-GYN residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
She became the first woman to complete the OB-GYN residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine and then went on to become one of the first female obstetrician-gynecologists in the state. Though she is extremely proud of this accomplishment, she is most proud of her relationships with her patients.
A Fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Macy is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
