Florida Medical Clinic has proudly served the Tampa Bay community since 1993, growing along with the rapidly expanding population. They’ve built new facilities, expanded technology and services, and increased medical staff to include over 350 highly skilled physicians and medical providers located in more than 50 convenient locations.
Dr. Guttentag received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He went on to complete an internship at Montefiore Medical Center in orthopedic surgery and a fellowship at Matthews Orthopedic Clinic in sports medicine, knee and shoulder reconstruction. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Guttentag specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, diseases and disorders of the bodies musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Guttentag is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is a private, voluntary, nonprofit, autonomous organization, the ABOS exists to serve the best interest of the public and the medical profession by establishing educational standards for orthopaedic residents and by evaluating the initial and continuing qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons. For this purpose, the Board reviews the credentials and practices of voluntary candidates and issues certificates as appropriate.
Dr. Guttentag has been the Medical Director and Head Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Lightning since 2002.
